The X-ray tube, also known as the X-ray tube or tube ball, is used to generate X-rays and is the central component of the X-ray device. The CT tube is not only a key component for generating X-rays in CT equipment, but also the signal source carrier of the CT equipment and a "high-value consumable" of the CT equipment. The technical barrier of CT tube technology is relatively high, and there are only a few manufacturers worldwide that can independently consume it. Today, the editor is going to talk about some matters related to CT tube.
CT tube, an unexpected anti-epidemic material, is lacking due to the high "false negative rate", long cycle and relatively large measurement volume of nucleic acid testing. Imaging examinations have the advantages of being timely, accurate, rapid, having a high positive rate, and the range of lung lesions being closely related to clinical conditions. After the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, experts proposed that the concurrent use of CT and nucleic acid testing reagents would be more conducive to diagnosing COVID-19 patients and controlling the epidemic. The "Diagnosis and Treatment Plan for Pneumonia Caused by the Novel Coronavirus (Trial Version 5)" has begun to use CT imaging results as the diagnostic criteria for clinical diagnosis cases in Hubei Province (limited to within Hubei Province). For a while, CT gained great fame. Mobile CT, vehicle-mounted CT, and mobile cabin CT have all entered the "battlefield". The "Directory of Urgently Needed Medical Equipment for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 (Batch 3)" released by the China Association of Medical Equipment has also listed "CT tubes" as anti-epidemic materials. This is not only because CT tubes are key components for CT consumption, but also because newly-built makeshift hospitals, Leishen Hospital and Huoshenshan Hospital all require a large number of tubes that are compatible with domestic CT complete machines. Also, due to the high value of CT tubes, few hospitals have spare tubes in stock. With the sudden increase in CT diagnostic volume in hospitals, CT tubes may be damaged due to consumption, leading to downtime. Unlike low-value consumables or "integrated assembly" type equipment, CT tubes cannot be consumed in a short period of time. The supply of raw materials and the production process lead to a relatively long manufacturing cycle for CT tubes. The shortage of CT tubes will seriously affect the timely supply and normal operation of CT equipment.
