CT ball tubes are mainly composed of tube cores, tube sleeves, heat sinks, insulating oil and some accessory parts, etc. Among them, the core is the central component of the CT tube, which is composed of an anode and a cathode.

The core used in CT machines is a rotating anode core, mainly composed of bearings, target surfaces and rotors. The characteristic of this type of chip is that it can operate with a larger current at a small focal point.

It is well known that metals can conduct heat and also have thermal resistance. When the core operates under conditions of a small focal point and a large current, high temperatures will be generated on the target surface. The bombardment position of the electron beam is assumed to be in a state of change, allowing the variable point ring to operate under a greater current, and the heat generated by the target surface has time to be conducted into the interior of the metal.

The essence of a CT tube is a highly vacuum cathode ray diode that can generate X-rays. Its working process can be simply described as follows: The cathode filament is heated at 12V current, generating free electrons that accumulate from time to time. At this point, a high voltage (40-150KV) is applied to the anode and cathode. Due to the significant potential difference, the free electron beam will collide from the cathode to the anode under the strong electric field, simultaneously generating energy exchange. 1% of the electrical energy is converted into X-rays, which are then stopped from being emitted through the window. The remaining 99% is converted into heat energy and remains on the anode. Therefore, for the core, both heat capacity and heat dissipation rate are of great significance.
